Fat Sac Universal Bow Sac (The V shaped one)

I own a 2007 220 and am going to be installing the fat sac universal bow sac (under the seats) and the two nautique wedges in the rear compartments. I have the diagram for install, thanks fat sac, and am just wondering if anyone on here has installed the universal bow sac? How well does it fit under the seats? About how full will it get (how much water will it hold) when installed under the seats? Thanks

you should be alrigtin the 220. the sac is a little to small for 21' boats in my opinion. it actually makes a nice seat for someone with the bowfiller cushion in. the wedge sacs are so easy to plumb in it's retarted. good luck. it makes boarding with lazy friends way easier since it's just push button fill empty.

thanks. It seems from the diagram that plumbing the v shaped bow sac should be pretty easy as well. The specs on the bow sac say 600 lbs, but I imagine that it will only hold about 400 lbs because of the small space under the front seats. Still 400 lbs is great. Bessie will plow through anything without any bucking. I am stoked!

ya and since it'll be hooked up you can fill it as much as it will hold. just let pump keep going for a minute after it starts to overflow so you pump that air out. use some teflon tape around all the threads of the adapter you hook into on the sac. lil sherl love bow weight.

im not gonna lie, sometimes we fill a 1000lbs bow, wedge sacs, ballast, 200lbs of lead, and a few people and it's sexy

We just installed the integrated bow sac in my 2007 220 and I figured I would post some of our problems and solutions. We downloaded the installation directions from Fat Sac. They were very helpful, but there were some errors.
          Problems and Solutions:
          1. We needed to buy about 10 feet of 1" hose. Make sure it is reinforced with steel or thread. We chose a clear hose that is reinforced with polymers, it is pretty cool to watch the water pump through. We used the existing hose to connect the overflow on the sac to the overflow on the boat.
          2. It was hard to locate the correct "grey" Tee, so we used a brass 1" tee that had a feature called "shark bite". This was a lot smaller than the grey or pvc one and did not require any hose clamps. We tried to stay away from the hose clamps because they can be sharp.
          3. The photos are not correct. The tee is located very close to the starboard side of the sac and the 90 degree fitting, so the length of hose from the Tee to the starboard side connection to the fat sac is very short. Be sure to leave enough hose to allow the sac to deflate completely and not too much to allow the sac to inflate completely.
          4. The instructions suggest using pvc cement to seal the plugs and connectors on the fat sac itself. We used pipe tape and that was not necessary. The seals are great and do not need pvc cement.
          5. You need almost five feet of hose to run from the starboard overflow on the fat sac to the overflow on the side of the boat. Be sure to make this hose long and loose so that the 90 degree fitting is truly at a 90 degree angle from the fat sac when it is completely inflated. If the hose is too short the 90 fitting will be strained by the seat cushion at a funny angle and leak a little bit. So be sure there is enough hose there, put in an extra six inches just to be sure. Extra hose here won't matter.

That is that, it took us just over an hour to install and it takes about twice as long to fill the belly and bow as it does to fill the starboard and port ballasts. The sac fills completely which pushes the seats up a little bit, but nothing terrible and nothing to worry about. Since the bow sac is connected to the overflow if someone is sitting up there or decides to sit up there after the sac is full the sac will overflow a little bit of water so the sac is not under any unnecessary strain. The sac does not deflate completely (leaves about 5 gallons of water), but that is nothing to worry about either if you use the system often. If you feel it necessary to empty all the water out completely, simply disconnect the sac using the quick connects and pick it up to drain over the side of the boat. The wake is not much bigger with this sac in place, but it is a lot harder and makes the wake break farther behind the boat. Harder wake + Longer Rope=Bigger Air
