    TITAN SPINNER CLAMP REVIEW PLEASE

I've been looking all over the net for detailed reviews of the Titan Spinner Clamps but couldn't quite find anything. Any opinions out here?

If you know anything about them please let me know. Among other things I'd like to know:

    - do they shake and rattle,
    - are they durable,
    - do they fit only Titan racks,
    - I've read they spin 360 degres, do they they spin the boards right in your face when you pull the pin,
    - do you like them,
    - ... anything else you find worth mentionning.

    Thanks a lot

P.S. They'd be for my 2nd gen Flight Control tower[/b]

RE: TITAN SPINNER CLAMP REVIEW PLEASE

i like them, they don't seem to rattle and seem durable
in the out board position they allow the bindings to drain outside the boat, in the inboard position it's been commented that they offer a bit of head shade
i hope i'm talking the same racks, there is a button to push now instead of the old pin pull, they are easy to use

RE: TITAN SPINNER CLAMP REVIEW PLEASE

I have an 08 210 with Titan tower and the Nautique (Titan) spinner racks. They're great re: build quality, no rattles, etc. But I don't know that they're really worth any extra money when mounted on the Titan tower. Access is pretty easy even if the racks are fixed...and if you spin the racks 1/2 way (e.g. so the boards are perpendicular to the boat), it's somewhat difficult to get the bungee on/off. A lot of the time, I don't bother spinning them.

I am sure that you can have a custom spacer made for those, but they will not work if they are any size other than 1" 7/8. I Think the spinners were all made with a wider inside diameter. I could be wrong on this, but I have yet to come across anything that I could just mount to the FCT2 without any modification. If you find something that will fit let me know I would like to mount a pair to my tower.

They won't work as pictured, unless there are more parts that are not shown. You will need two clamps per spinner, two tubes and then a vertical axle for that spinner to work.

Titan had a setup that one could use on their Series II and III towers and didn't require the adapter setup seen on Nautiques. Given that, you could make those work, but you'll need to have a buddy with a machine shop...
