So I've been kicking around the idea of getting a barefoot boom for my boat for the past two years. Problem with pulling the trigger on them is I just don't know if they're worth it - i.e. we'll definitely use it, but how much?
If anyone has a boom (tower, or pylon mounted) and was in the same boat (not literally  ) as me prior to purchasing it are you happy with the purchase? Do you use it for teaching new riders to ski/wakeboard/etc? Or is it only used occasionally for days that people feel like getting beat-up trying to barefoot?
I have to get the tower mounted boom since I took out my ski pylon, but I can get a deal on one from a friend. But again, still trying to justify the purchase.
I have an idea of how much it will be used, but does anyone have any stories or input about the booms and things that add to your time on the water?
