    Tower Lights

I am looking to get some evening surfing in this summer and was wondering which light bar I should purchase. Any Suggestions?

    RE: Tower Lights

Most of the tower lights I have seen do not look very good - Although not technically tower lights you could put two of these on the boat
and have more light than the neighbors on the lake would ever care for.

      RE: Tower Lights

Both the Pro Shop Mgr and Lead Service Technician at the CC dealership in SoCal told me not to waste my money on the light bars that are spcifically made for wakeboarding.

Their reasoning was that they simply don't project enough light. Their recommendation was water resistent off-road lights. They come as single lights, so you would want at least four of them. They project a ton of light so evening/nighttime boating is significantly safer and it's easier to find your fallen rider in the dark.

They don't necessarily look stylish, but you'll have more light than you know what to do with, which equates to a higher level of safety.

Pretty sure the speed limit in Indiana is 10mph at night.. Atleast thats what they said when i got my $150 ticket lastyear for speeding.. Just not sure about the surfing at night legality tho..

You are probubly right. What lake were you on? I got a $135 ticket for pulling my wife skiing with
only the dog for a spotter. I told him he barks when she falls it didnt fly. The worst part was the cop was on a wave runner. I never saw that coming.
I asked at the boat show about surfing day or night I didnt get a direct answer its up to the cop I guess.

I'm on Geist Reservoir.. Looking up alot of the boating laws lastnight.. It is 10mph, but I couldn't find anything so far about not pulling a skier or anything from sunrise to sunset.. Gonna keep looking. Atleast your spotter was alive.. I took the mannequin from my shop and dressed him up with a hat and all.. that lasted for about a month.. DNR laughed his a$$ off.... while giving my buddy his ticket... hahaha

I got pulled over on the Colorado River a couple of years ago for pulling a skier after sunset. I was ignorant to the law...I always thought it was after dark, not sunset, which is about a 20-30 minute difference.

It had been a long day on the water and I had partaken in a few adult beverages throughout the day so I also got to spend a some time on the cops boat taking some of their little tests. I was no where near intoxicated so I was put back on my boat with no ticket in hand for pulling after sunset.

I found when you're cool and accomodating to the cops, they're pretty cool back. I think they just wanted to end their day.

There are people cruising in the 25-40 mph range on my section of River at night all the time. Never anyone pulling skiers or riders though...probably because they're all too drunk by that time of day.

I couldn't agree more that if you're gonna ride at night, wear a glow-stick on your vest. We all love butter and it doesn't get any smoother than after the sun goes down.
