    Time for a new surfboard

I'm looking for a new surfboard, and before I plunk down a large chunk of change I thought I'd ask for your suggestions. Background: We already have an "everyone" board, so we are looking for something a little more aggressive. Our weights range from 130 to 165.

Here's a few of the boards that have made our short list - Inland Surfer Blue Lake, Inland Surfer Black Pearl Yellow, Ronix Koal, Liquid Force Custom 4'-6" (thruster).

Any suggestions and advice from those who have ridden these boards would be appreciated.

I just got my blue lake and took it out last weekend for the first time! I will say that this is a very sweet board! I love everything about it and would buy another!

See if you can find a Liquid Force 4.2 Custom. That or see if Trickboardz will sell you a glass Surf Skate. With your weight range you mentioned either of these boards will be a fantastic freestyle addition to your arsenal I am 190 and ride both with ease.

The blue lakes is a great board if you don't want to spin much, I am 6'3" 215lbs and got bored with the blue lakes after 1 day. I now ride a limited edition Black Woody (with no wood) inland surfer from a couple years ago. It's just like the yellow one, I love it. The Green Loogey is a great trick board, especially if you grind off the fins to half size. It's spins like a top. I heard that Ronix is coming out with a HOT new surf board this year. What I have noticed is that the sharper the edge and the thinner the board, the lower it sits in the wave and the slower it is. The Inland Surfer stuff is really think and rounded (except for the Black Pearl and 4 Skim) making them ride higher on the water, it makes it easier to break the edge free and spin, or slide sideways and get back into the groove. I remove my heel side fin when I want to mix it up.
