Suggestions for Knee Boards

Experts,

I'm looking to buy a kneeboard for youths/beginners. I've got a foam O'brien with no strap and the 8-year old is getting to where he can get some air off the wake....but he comes off it sometimes because there is no strap.

Any suggestions? brand, square nose vs pointed nose, source, etc?

I rode an O'Brien Lowrider (Lime Green and Black One) for a couple of seasons before I started to wakeboard and surf. Really good board, comfortable knee pad, square nose, and it had a ton of pop, yet very controlled both in the wake and in the flats. I liked it because I am about 225lbs and it was extremely stable for me despite my height and weight. Any other questions, let me know.

i ride only Obrien... if he is starting to do more than ride behind the boat then the lowrider is a great board or the rush.. thats the top 2 that most guys ride from obrien...

I have an OBrien with retractable fins. The kids seem to like that untill they were ready to turn them. Now they ride a OBrien Ricochet

Tuneman, over at WW, would be a GREAT person to ask about this (he is in based out of MN, so check the "MINNESOTA Riders Vol. 6" thread for his contact info) - I ride with him quite a bit, and he is about as a stand-up guy as one can get (plus he absolutely KILLS it on a kneeboard). If you do contact him, just say "Sinko" gave you his info, and he'll help you out in any way he can... Yellow_Flash_Colorz: ahah, even if you didn't mention my name, he would still be as kind to you as ever! So no worries if you want a very good opinion on kneeboard equipment!
