What do you clean your bimini top with?

My bimini top has stains from the aluminum poles.. What is eveyone using to clean there tops? Fantastik? If I can get it clean I figured I'd scotchguard it to hopefully keep it from doing it again.

I took mine off and put in in a washing machine with mild soap on the "hand washables" cycle. Afterwards, I sprayed it with 303 fabric guard.
