    Trick Release

New to this forum. I own a 2007 220 Air Nautique. I would really like to mount a trick release to the tower pylon. Couple issues I have had so far:
    1) The location of the pylon on the tower is roughly 8-10" towards the front of the boat from the back cross member. Any swivel trick release will actually smash into the bar the pylon is mounted on.
    2) The pylon is basically just an aluminum stud. I see some of the other mfg's have swivels on the pylon.

My question is - what trick releases have been mounted on this style tower?

Thanks for your help. Pics would be great

    RE: Trick Release

This thread has links to several releases...some may work for you. The links also go to sites that have more than recommended with the link. There is one that will work for you...I just can't remember which right now.

      RE: Trick Release

      Brad,

I've seen Brad Scott use the Lake Elmo inline release on Ashby's boat, seemed to work alright, but hits the tower when you pull it so you wouldn't want a speaker or something that could break sitting close to it. It might work to put it on a longer rope so you could run a shock tube behind it to keep it from banging into something.

You can't run the competch release without the swivel tower mount?
