Does anyone use any sort of safety devices, such as trick releases etc. when the kids are young and learning to wakeboard ? My daughter is 5 and can kneeboard well and is still learning to wakeboard. She does a good job with all of my rope safety instructions, but I still worry.
On the kneeboard, I just make sure I ride double next to her and go safe speeds. As she is learning to wakeboard, I sit at the back and loosly wrap the rope around the rear pylon and hold it to keep tension, then if she falls with something wrapped, I could immediatly let the rope go into the water with no tension.
I've thought about the various trick releases out there etc. Just wanted to see what people with young kids are doing if anything beyond instruction.
