Ok, I've pretty well dialed in the wake on my 211. Now I need to dial in the board. I come from a surfing background, so EVERYTHING feels mushy behind a boat. Currently I ride an 03 Hyperlite Landlock 5'6" Broadcast I believe. It is slow, hard to accelerate and generally just rides there other than some small pumping up and down the face. I will keep the Hyperlite for beginners because it is stable, but I would like something that accelerates better, turns quicker and floats a bit higher in the water. I'm told the INland Surfer Blue is my board, but some here have given it poor reviews. I don't plan big tricks, I just want to really surf and snap some turns without pearling the nose or stalling everytime I try to wieght the tail for a snappy turn. I'd also like some forgiveness for when I get back out of the pocket when doing floaters etc. Right now, I spend a lot of time paddling to get back into the wake after any moves out of the pocket. I do not surf, but here is the problem as I see it. The power of a wave created by any boat, even the largest boat, ridiculously and illegally overweighted, is puny compared to even a small wave that exists in nature.Comment

The Sherd Stixx are nice. I would try a bunch of boards first before you start making your own. I like the Inlandsurfer boards. They have a few new boards I would like to try. If you hit the Delta let me know and you can try what I have. I would like to see how you have set up your boat. I have the Red Tide, Green board and small LF Custom. The Red Tide is an over grown Blue board. The green board is much smaller.Comment

We use Liquid Force Boards and have had good luck. I can ride in and out of the pocket, up on top of the wash and it seems real responsive to turns.1973 CC Skier
