Clean it, soap and water, just in case. Post up what you think after a few sets. I'm really digging my sixam 2.0 my buddy commented that it was the best I have skied all year on it.

We use a mold release in our production process.
Your ski will feel smoother and more consistent if you clean the ski
bottom with a mild cleaner and sponge .

That is from D-3's website, and I figure it is probably true for all higher end ski's.

Sixam SS comes hand sanded from the factory. I have done nothing to mine but you might consider cleaning it with something like Comet cleanser.

Always wash your bottom when new and a few times per year after that. (when you go into a slump)
if you are a teak platform user, wash your ski alot. Oil from platform will collect on your ski.

Good advice. I just use dish soap on the ski. Don't want anything too abrasive. Make sure you wash new gloves and handles as well.

Oils will affect how a ski "adheres" to the water, so they should be cleaned occassionally. Mark has a good point with a teak platform. My Nomad would get squirrely after a period of using a teak platform. A little lemon fresh Joy and I'm back in business!
