    Wakebord Rope : CWB Answer

Hey guys, I need a non-stretch wakeboard rope, something for an intermediate rider.

Does anyone have experience with the Proline Spectra Rope with the CWB Answer handle?

I found it in a package for a good price but I have heard that the CWB handles have a tendency to sink? Is this normal? is it a problem?

If it has a reputation of sinking, I wouldn't buy it. It would be quite the hassle every time a rider falls that you have to pull the rope in and throw it back out.

Everyone has a different handle they have a preference to. For me, it's the Amoeba gripped handles by Straightline. They are soft, thick and grippy. They have yet to give me any callouses and my hands don't get sore while riding. I've been using the Amoeba for the past five years and I haven't found anything I like better.

As far as the Proline Spectra rope, it'll serve it's purpose. It's a non-stretch.

I don't know if any of this helps, but I hope so.

I think I'm going to give it a try. The price is definately right. I only have a few more rides this year anyway so if it gives me trouble I'll have the winter to fix or find something else as far as a handle. Right now I think its going to be worth it even if I jsut use the rope out of the package.

Typically if a handle sinks it is when the boat is not underway - it should rise to the surface as you are making approach to down
rider - at that point the rider has the rope in hand and wether the handle has sank or not will not matter.

That is what I was thinking, as long as the rope floats, which it does, it shouldnt be a major problem. Also, I am pretty sure i can make it where it wont sink.
