    New Wakeboard

I am thinkin of buying a new wakeboard. But don't know what to get. I ride a hyperlite motive now and I have no complaints with that board but the ends are starting to fall apart. But I see there is so many 'little' things they say are so great. Like different shaped this and that is going to make it better. Is this true? or is it a money maker??

Well, this season I picked up a Hyperlite Marek and noticed a lot of great things. End of season sales make this a good time to buy.

It's definitely not all money makers, there's a lot of difference between boards. However if it's worth it to you (like a Marek) only you can decide. Try some different boards and see what fits your style, budget, etc.

Okay, I think I have decided on a board. But I don't know what length to get. I currently ride a 140 and wondered if 4cm is really going to make a difference? I weigh 195. I can't really try different boards here because we have no shop so I have to order boards. So I figured I would ask all you guys who have experimented with different lengths.

          Check this http://www.liquidforce.com/rider-size-chart.htm
4 cm's do make a difference. Don't know what direction you're thinking (4 cm's smaller or bigger), but I wouldn't go below 140 with your weight. I'd say 142-144 would probably be best for you. What board are you thinking of?

I weigh "around" 195, and my first and second boards are 140s.

I ended up buying the Marek 141 board. I wanted to get the Murray board but just wasn't feeling the recycle logo. I know I will never ride these boards to there potenial. But figured I better just try one anyway. Only 7 more months till I can go boating again.......

I am tipping the scales just over 190 these days. I currently ride a Slingshot Response 145 flexboard but I am not as consistent as I was on my CWB absolute platinum. I am probably going to pick up a CWB Transcend Platinum. You can get a new one from Boarders Best Buy for $225 plus shipping, that's a great deal considering it's a $600+ board.
