    How to ship a bimini???

Hey guys--shipping question. I am selling my old bimini and extended pylon on this and other sites. I am in Phoenix and I have several interested buyers on the east coast. But when I asked the UPS store for a quote on shipping, they said that because of its size--even though it only weighs about 12 lbs--it must be shipped freight for $200-$300. Does anyone know of a cheap alternative for shipping a bimini? Thanks.

I bought a bimini off WW last year and the guy shipped it to me via Greyhound and I picked it up at the bus station. Worked well and was cheaper than other methods.

I bough one off EBay, the guy shipped it USPS for like $20.00, it was not boxed, just wrapped up in shrink wrap. I did even know the post office would do that but they do. It was dropped of by the local mail delivery girl whos comes everday
