    A little help piggybacking a sac in a 08' 210

Hey guys. Well the days are starting to get longer and it's about time to start my February and March projects. I have used search and figured a lot out, but I still have some questions. I have an 08' 210 and I am wanting to add a sac to the back port side of the boat on top of the factory ballast. What I need help with is... what specific fittings and materials will I need to do this the proper way, especially the pvc method...I don't quite get this or how you do it. I also would like to know what bag in that rear corner is going to give me the best surf wave, 400, 540, 750. Any help anyone can give me is appreciated. Typically it's just me and my wife on the boat, so we just want to be able to surf well when it's just us like we do when we have 7 or 8 people on board. Thanks again.

I bought the Fat Sac 400lbs and installed them on both sides. The install is super easy and are removable with out damage to the boat. Cut the vent hose in the center attach the hard tank side to the lower rear fitting of the sac. Connect the vent side to the top fitting of the sac. Use the quick connect fittings so you can remove the sacs in seconds. The system will all work with the stock pumps. When the pump shuts down just push it on again untill the water comes out the vent. My 210 will surf both sides with only 2 peeps on board. In the event you want to remove them permanently just splice the vent hose back together and tie-rap it back under the deck.

PS Thanks for the tip on the poorboys products they are awesome.

I would buy the 750. You do not have to fill it up all the way. I have a 211 and took the hard tank out and add the 750 bag. It works great for surfing. I also have twice the storage when the bag is not full. I also set it up so I can use a tsunami pump to help fill it.

I just changed out my 400's for 750's in my 08 210. I have not used them yet but I wanted just a little more for when it is just two of us it the boat. The 400's won't use all the space that is in the compartment. It is simply to do as Nautiquehunter described. Although I cut my vent line that goes into the bottom of the new sac just long enough that it will attach to the bag (I am not sure how well it would work cutting the line in the middle as he described). This will ensure the bag lays flat when not being used and allows for the water to completely drain out of it. The vent line is now only about 3" long from the top of the factory tank connected to the extra ballast sac. I then cut the excess off the line that goes to the overflow of the new sac out the overflow of the boat. If you need detailed instructions call barefoot international and they will email you a copy of the directions on how to do it.

rugdr Take us some pics and show us this install in the new DIY section. I'm interested in doing this with my 750lb on port side also. Thanks!
