    Surfboard behind Wakeboard boat?

I am in the market to buy a used wakesurf board. I have been searching for used ones and have found that Surfboards used in the ocean can be picked up a lot cheaper than wakesurf boards. So I was wondering if anyone that wakesurfs has ever used an actual Surfboard behind a boat. Also if anyone has used wakesurf boards that they are selling?
    Thanks for any help?

ive been thinking about selling my hyperlite broadcast 4'9, message me if its something you may be interested in, shippin would be the only issue, but yea we used an actual surfbaord at first, it was ok, just not the same, its really better to just pick up a wakesurfer now, cause even if you buy a regular surfboard, im sure you will eventually want a wakesurfer in the near future

I would think that real surfboards are too long. First, they would be very big in your boat. Second, they would be very big behind the boat, perhaps even hitting it, and certainly less maneuverable. While the added buoyancy would be great with a huge board, the space issue coupled with the lack of control issues would, IMHO make a real surfboard a menace behind a boat.

I would definitely go with the wakesurfer. The actual surfboard is not anything like the wakesurfer.

completely agree...we had to bail several times to keep from running up on the boat
