    Wakesurf Board Recommendations

I am getting into wakesurfing and I am looking for a good entry/intermediate level board that will work well for a wide range of people. I will be surfing behind a 2000 SAN. I don't expect the wake to be huge so that needs to be taken into consideration. I realize that I may need to upgrade to a more aggressive board in the future, so I don't want to spend a large amount of money on something that I am only going to be happy with for one season. I have considered the CWB Ride ($299). I also can get the O'Brien Wakesurfer (foam board) for a little over $100. User weights will range from 175 to about 250 pounds. Any suggestions you may have are appreciated. I would prefer a used board, but haven't been able to come across much for sale here in Michigan.

Inland Surfer just came out with a new compression molded price point board called the Squirt. I got to ride it for the first time this past weekend and I really like it. It is the only smaller board, at 5 feet, that I have been able to consistently ride. I'm a bigger guy (235-245 lbs.) so the small boards can be a challenge. I have a 16-year old son that absolutely loves this board, and several riders that borrowed it also liked it as well.

If possible, try and borrow/demo several boards before you buy. Otherwise, you'll have to rely on advice from other riders to help you decide. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
