I was at Don Pedro this weekend and a big section of the lake by Moccasin Point was decent--but one area was excellent. Until an idiot on a tube came blasting through doing circles, etc. Of course, the day before that same area was excellent until two idiots started power turning when their skier dropped.

Nothing against tubers from me. Lots against idiots that rip up nice water. Just respect those who are sharing the water with you...just as with any other activity. Don't rip up the nice stuff when kids don't need butter to enjoy tubing. Don't blast your music in the campground. Don't power turn. Etc., etc.

I'd hate to have had a father who told me, "Son, that doesn't look like proper fun to me, so you can't ride in a tube. My boat is too good for something so low. Learn a "real" activity...like wakeboarding or skiing." lol

      Had a great weekend!!!
      Boarded, Surfed, Ski'ed, and tubed.

Daughter 6yrs tried to ski she didn't make it and cried but I we talked and I told her she tried and we will keep trying and that was what counted.

Son 3yrs tubed with the big kids and loved it he felt like he belonged

Wife ??yrs ;-) got back up on a wakeboard and rocked it!!!

Kept to the main part of the Delta(Northern California) for tubing and the smaller sloughs for Ski/Boarding

Kids', Wife, Friends had a blast

Use your boat for whatever you want to, you bought it. Just respect others. If you bought a Lambo you would'nt just race it.

There are 2 partners at my wife's old law firm that have the huge Malibu LSV's. They are now about 2 years old or so, but they bought them new with every bell and whistle. Both of these guys are slalom skiiers, although one surfs occassionally I think. They also pull tubes for their kids. Nobody in either family wakeboards. It makes no sense. They both ended up buying a boat that is crap for what they do and no better than any other inboard for what their kids do. I can't say these guys have done this, but it's guys like these with these big boats that they should never have bought that end up tubing and doing power turns in the butta. All that said, both of these guys are actually pretty good guys when it comes to everything else, I just shake my head at their choice of boats.

Would it be because they entertain a lot on the boats? Those that really don't get bigger than the immediate family are good with 'ski' boats, but those that love to entertain need the 14 capacity boats.
