    Big Wakeboard

    Need a wakerboard for a 285lbs beginner. any ideas?

    Don't have a particular board, but I'm in that class and have been told to get a 146.

      Many I have seen in 144, 146, size are for intermediate or expert riders. You might wanna check that as well

        I would not waste my money on a beginner board. They are way too sloppy and will be collecting dust in a few weeks. Buy a good intermediate or "expert" board. Just drive slower (say 15-17mph) when the person is a beginner (which you should do anyway). If they catch an edge, it won't hurt. Then speed up as they get better. The better edge control and reduced slop will be greatly appreciated (even if they don't know any better because they never had to ride a sloppy beginner board).

          i ride a ronix one 146 and i deff would not call me or my board a beginner. i got the board cos im 6'6 and 235lbs. ive seen 147
