    Need suggestions for kids wakeskate

Jr.AirTool ( 9 years old / 73 lbs ) has progress like crazy on his wakeboard and wants to try to skate. I think he can do it.

Please suggest some wakeskates I can consider and why.

Here is some wake video from last year:

Here is some longline BF action. After a LONG off season, last Sunday he got up longline/deepwater on the first try. I could not believe it. (must be the driver)

      wakeskate

My son is 13 and weighs around a 100 lbs. He bought one from overtons, Hyperlite, for $50.00. He loves it.

I just looked and there are a couple used ones on craigslist. Unless you are wanting to buy a brand new one. Maybe worth investing under $100 and see how he likes/progresses.

you could always make one for him. might be a fun little project for ya'll. just make a flat deck and make sure to seal it up really well or it won't last a day.

I'm thinking about making a round disc for him over the winter.

On the skate, I stopped by Sun and Ski in Katy Mills and negotiated an 09 liquid force Mod for 225 (asking 299). We bought it around 2:00 on a Saturday and that afternoon he was doing it.

Four weeks later Jr.AirTool is titled INT Texas Junior Entro State Champion. (clip below)

Try the Hyperlite Scape, sells for about $70 new from Buywake.com.... It is the old classic plywood with EVA top, simple but fun and cheap.....

I have skated two seasons on mine and it is holding up great

you should get a copy of fun boots. it's one of the best new wakeskate vids out. you can also stream nike's aquafrolics on your computer. pretty amazing.

Hyperlite? or Hydroslide? The cheapest Hyperlite @ Overtons is $169 --- The Hydroslide was $50

the thing with these cheap skates made of wood is that they are sealed so lazily that they warp, break, and lose pop so quickly. you cannot leave it in your car or anywhere like that.
