    WakeBoard Question

Can someone help me understand how a "subtle 3 stage rocker" [old board] will differ in feel and ride from an "abrubt continuous rocker" or a "blended 3 stage rocker"?

    May Help a Bit

3 stage rocker has more POP and is slower

Continuous rocker is faster on the water, a little more smooth with less pop

If your a beginner you may want to start with a cheaper continuous rocker or a blended as it will feel a bit more solid.

But once you get your gears working and such you will probably want a 3 stage rocker especially if the wake you ride most is not that big or lippy.

    Hope that helps a bit.

INFO: My first board was a Parks Bonifay board in 2003-2004 I think when he was still with Hyperlite... my theory was to buy the best board I could and just learn it. I've been riding that board for over 6 years and we just got a boat and have been riding more and I picked up a new 2009 Hyperlite Era ( I think you can get them if your in the U.S for 250 bucks online now... and it's been a great board for me) and wow what a difference. I have learned so much more riding my new board and wish I got a less aggressive board when I started as it would have helped.... I'm just starting to think about trying my old board out for fun now again... now that I feel like I have passed a few learning curves.
