not sure what to think. it works for snowboarding, but i don't know if hyperlite designed it with quality in mind. it's alot cheaper than a nice snowboard binding while the boots are on the high end of a snow boot price point. i swore off hyperlite when ronix started and probably won't go back, but this is so intriguing.

i don't get to snowboard much so i can't really make a true comparison in the gear, but when you snowboard you have to take ur board off and leave boots on so your feet don't freeze. when you wakeboard you want them off so right there i find it odd. for winching or cable it would be awesome. i think you are going to feel a pinch from the straps and the back of the binding looks like it will interfere with pokes. i'll never know until i try them, but i probably won't simply because i don't like this aspect of them

I always thought Hyperlite was lacking a little when it came to binding innovation, but this new stuff looks pretty awesome. I have slingshot bindings now and they have the inner booties which are about the same idea when thinking about winching or the cable park. They would be great for that, but for everyday riding I dont know if it would be worth it.
As far as quality goes if you are having trouble with your bindings I would recommend some Slingshots. I have had some trouble with mine, but every time they send me a new pair and all I do is send in pictures of the problem. These arent serious issues, only minor things, but they still replace with a new pair. I am on my 4th pair in about a year and half and all have been free since the first ones. Thats what I call standing behind your product.2010 Super Air 230

Those new Hyperlite’s look sweet. http://www.hyperlite.com/news_articl...content_id=361 Interesting concept. Everyday riding that seems like a lot of straps. And I be interested to see how the boot last when/if walking on surfaces.
Slingshot does stand behind their product as I have observed with my friend’s experience. I have made the switch to a slingshot board & boots myself. Got a Response 142 with the Driver boots and love it.Current: 2001 Air Nautique GT-40

well when paul and herb left and the reasons behind it i decided to leave also. im a very brand loyal person when i find something that works and is good quality. i rode hyperlite stuff for about 7 or 8 years. it was a tough decision to try a new brand, but i love my 08 ibex and ones. i had a heel lift issue this season and they sent me new plates and hardware and it solved it. right now i can't decide what i want to do. i am leaning towards a new ibex with some relik boots, but i want to try company stuff since it's made in the usa; however, they don't actually make any product and have had alot of distribution problems thus far. i really want to try some vandall boots b/c i hate laces, but i think i'll miss the "feet belt" from ronix boots. i have ridden slingshot response and recoil with pb floyds and hated the recoil, but loved response. wasn't fond of the boots at all. i guess i'll figure it out this winter. i could get the hyperlite stuff for basically half of what it should cost, but i don't think i'll do it. at least ronix, while still outsourcing production to other countries, is partially owned by riders who know what's up and have a real say in design.
