    board recommendations

looking for recommendations for two boards- one for boat and one flex/hybrid for winching & boat

I had been riding a watson classic for a few months and unfortunately broke it. What I liked about it was the big wake-to-wake pop and surf feel to it. I ride with a really slow approach to the wake and use my legs to pop off the wake so I don't mind something slower, in fact I kinda liked that about the watson, but am looking for that same pop. I also do mostly spins for what it's worth as well. I rode a Harley once and seemed to like it well enough because it had good pop, but it felt like it had a lot of bite to it, but then released pretty aggressively.

Just started winching a bit of rails as well and thought a flex or hybrid board might be fun for presses and possibly wake. I've read good things about slingshot, but haven't ridden one.

    Any recommendations?

If you really want more pop, put the wakeboard away and get a Sky-Ski.

i'd say get either an ATR one from ronix or one of the slingshot ballistic series. i can't remember the name of their 3 stage. you'll only need one board that'll last. if you want some rail flex go with slingshot.

Definately check out Slingshot. I was riding a watson back in 07 and tried out a recoil and havent been back on a traditional board since. Im riding the new response and it is a great board. Tons of predictable pop for a continuous rocker with the flex.

anybody ridden the hyperlite franchise? I looked at one in the shop and it looks pretty similar to a watson in shape and rocker, but with a more basic bottom.

A flex board is key for winching. I like the LF press series, or something like henshaw's board.

Company makes awesome and bulletproof flex decks too.
