suggest a glue to fix ski footpads

Several of my skis have the thick rubber/neoprene padding under the feet peeling up. I'd like to glue them down before the first use this year.

Suggestions welcome (needed). I prefer suggestions from similar experience, if possible.

I have good luck with using the 3M spray adhesive. It can be a bit messy at first, but once you get the hang of the spray pattern you won't have as much overspray. I use it for everything we stick on the hydrofoils as well as regaling carpet in the boat and few other things. Probably wouldn't help in your situation, but I've gone to using Velcro on all rubber and foam parts that get removed from time to time. So much easier than having to get out a knife and the heat gun and then having to clean everything up and glue it again.

Shoe goo, goop, or any silicone works well for my skis

used regular shoe goo on my wake bindings last year...still holding up very well

I have tried different products and did not have any luck with any of them (they seem to work well when dry only, the footpad came off once wet). The problem was resolved by calling the manufacturer of the binding and ordering the footpad.

I am interested in knowing what works though.

I'm thinking the llimiting factor is the slick fiberglass.

Try to find some of the old fashioned solvent based contact cement. Not the water soluble stuff. Look for all kinds of warnings on the can telling you to avoid open flame.
