Iam looking at buying a new Ronix wakeboard this year and wanted to know is there any major changes from the 08-09 to the 2011 boards? I have a 07 Ronix Vault that I have used the past 2 years and Iam ready to upgrade. I have looked at the Ibex, One, Mana, District and wanted to get an idea which way to go. Not a pro by any means but not a beginer. Wanting one with a little more bite to it. Iam open to really nice used boards too. Thanks for any help!

Based on the models you mention above, it doesn't appear you have a preference between a continuous and 3-stage rocker. Most are 3-stage, but the District is not. The Ronix board that I ride and thoroughly enjoy is the Viva (Aggressive Continuous). It's fast, holds a great edge, has great pop, it's light and lands soft. I don't have the 2011, but I talked about it in great detail with my local Ronix Rep and he had nothing but positive things to say about it...I guess that is to be expected since that's his job. But he knows I like a fast, responsive board.
My recommendation is try to demo as many boards as possible. Don't take peoples words for them. We all ride differently and like different things in our boards. I don't know if you have access but I know most board shops will charge to demo/rent a board, but they'll also apply all of the money to the purchase of a new board. Just a thought.
Good luck in your quest.BKinSoCal - Brian

The IBEX and ONE are for sure different from 09 to 2011, very different! I used to ride an 08 ONE and went to a couple different boards and then got back on the 2010 ONE and it rides much better. We get all our boards for the school from Ronix right now, so I may be a little bias, but I love their products. If you have a chance to ride some I would recommend it. The old vault is going to ride pretty different from the new One, Mana, Ibex and District. The district is their intermediate level board right now, anyone can hop on it and be familiar to any riding style. The mana is going to feel similar to the old vault IMO, but definitely an upgrade. The ONE and IBEX fit 2 different styles of riding and it is all preference there, but both great boards.
