    Hybrid behind Nautique

Anyone ridden a Watson Hybrid behind a boat? How is it with landings & pop?

It doesnt look like people get many responses about gear related questions (handles, bindings, ballast, etc) unless its related directly or attached to the boat.

I belong to multiple forums (wakeworld, ccfan, malibu boats) and thought Id ask here since it would be on a nautique wake.

    Thanks for any input.

Ask me about a 1995 Connelly Attack waterski, or a 2002 Connelly, oops, CWB Spy, with Mobe bindings, and I could tell you a lot.

Sorry, never even heard of a Watson Hybrid

yea i think the majority of the guys who ride a variety of newer boards are out at the beach or mall hitting on girls or better yet riding on the lake because its still summer, they are probably not on PN, but i ask the same questions in hopes that i get lucky, lol.

LR3w8kbrdr what are you riding now and what boards have you ridden, i rode a 2009 watson, and it was pretty solid not as loose as i like but very solid pop and landings if that helps at all.

Right now I have a LF PS3 with Ronix Kai bindings. I land alot n the flats and feel that it has hard impact landings on my knees and I feel I need more pop as well. Looking at upgrading, and ive heard alot of great things about the watson hybrid. my only chance to demo it right now would be at the cable park. But my riding would be 70%boat 30% cable if that. Wanted to stick to LF bc I can get deals on that brand.

Was also considering the Harley grind and maybe the Hyperlite B-side if I do stick to more boat riding.

          Thanks

i know several guys who ride the harley and love it, i ride the bside right now and i love it but it can be a little sketch in the flats, but it has alot of pop, maybe switch up the bindings to see if something else has more cushion on the hard landings

I am buying some new bindings at the same time but wanting to upgrade board at same time. Seriously considering the Harley & Bside though. Totally different from hybrid but still have pop and have heard nothing but great things. Wish i could demo a few but hard to get my hands on these.

I rode the original watson for 4 years, Just bought the hybrid watson and couldnt be happier. Huge pop, same confident riding style. Super light. I love it.

I came from riding the Watson in 07 to the Slingshot Recoil and have been riding Slingshot ever since. I am riding the Response now. Riding a flex board is just so much more fun to me. But people usually either love or hate it, so give flex a try if you can.

And I ride all wake, no cable.

+1 same story here^. But I steeped into a slingshot Hooke this year for when I want to go huge and in the mode to take a beating if not on my A Game. This board is no joke super fast and ridiculous pop. I also picked up a Newton when wanting to learn newer tricks and keep it a little more mellow. The new Slingshot RAD bindings, heated molded are pure heaven as well.

well to make it simpler I just decided to pick up both a 11' Hybrid Watson w/ Watson 11' LTD bindings & a 11' Watson Classic w/ 11' Shane bindings.

So now I have two crazy setups, rode the hybrid last week and that thing is totally different feel in a good way. Havent broke the Classic out yet.
