    Lkg for Kneeboarding help

Got a 10 year old boy that want's to try kneeboarding. I have only attemped to kneeboard once....a long time ago....killed my knees.

Any suggestions as to what to look for, price ranges, etc... Will one size knee board work for him and for older teanagers? Say....80 lbs up to 180 lbs?

Also, anyboady that can help me with some of the techniques? Like how fast to pull....does age and wieght make a big difference in speed? Do you always start off on belly and then work up to knees and strap? Any other things to worry or think about?

    Thanks in advance

Just like anything that involves watersports " You get what you pay for!" Don't go to Waly World" (walmart) for a board. I own 2 O'brien Airageous Kneeboards and my two 9 nine olds love them. Very stable boards and comfy too. The name applys as they will launch you if you cut hard to the wake. They are already wanting to hit the water this year. I strted pulling yhem at about 8 mph gradually working up to a safe speed for them. Best to learn during the week as rough water can e intimitating and hard to ride through. I'd suggest during the week or early/late on the weekend. Be prepared to go for 30 min a pop when he gets the hang of it. ENJOY!!
If you can't do it in, on, or behind a Nautique..... It just ain't worth doing!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that a good decent board will run you $150 to $200 bucks. I paid 180 for the first and 60 ( on ebay) for the second. Shop around in anycase!
