    Hardshell Slalom release bindings

Does anyone use or have you used a hardshell slalom release binding? I have seen a Reflex binding and a Fogman binding but don't know anyone that has used them. I just had a hard crash where my back foot came out of my boot and front foot stayed in. I tore my achilles tendon, so needless to say, I will be looking for a safer option when I eventually get back on a ski.

I use the Fluid Motion Quattro RL boots by Jagger sports. These boots are fantastic. I have a permanently split achillies tendon from a motor cylce accident 20 years ago so I was keen to find a binding to offer the support and performance I needed. Highly recommended.

I made the switch to Goode powershell 5 this season. amazing control and response. I have released from the ski on a hard crash, so yes they work. nothing better then putting the bindings back on the ski and going out for another set and skipping the hospital visit

Have you had a crash where the boots released from the ski? I will check them out.

Yes, I have only had one good crash and the plate did release and both my feet stayed in the boots connected to the plate. That one crash with no injuries has meant that the bindings have paid for themselves in my eyes. It's pretty important to get the setup right with the recommended spring loaded bolt release tension etc but once setup I felt so much more confident to ski without fear.

Thanks for the input. I agree it will be money well spent. I only wish I had made the switch prior to a major injury.

              GOODE Powershell 5

I recently made the switch to a GOODE Nano Mid-Ride with Powershell 5 Bindings. I LOVE IT! Took more than a rope length off my skiing in less than a month!!!!!

Bindings are GREAT! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Did you investigate any other bindings before you bought the Goode Powershell?
