    2011 Ronix One / Ibex

Iam wanting to buy a new board this winter and Iam looking at the Ronix One and the Ibex. I wanted to know what might be the better board or is there a big difference between the two? I have a Ronix Vault right now (07 model) so its time to upgrade a few years.

    Thanks

Have a few friends that gave the one a shot. Didn't really like it. Hard to get good pop from what I understand unless you really rail through the wake. One of my buds goes pretty big. I could really tell the difference when he was on the One. Not sure about the Ibex. What is your riding style and skill level?

I have been riding for about 3 years and Iam still learning alot. I dont go real big (still riding behind a old school 83 SN 2001....love it though) basic grabs, wake to wake ect....I just about bought an Ibex this summer but decided to hold off and look around some more. A shop I deal with has a One at a super price so I thought about trying it but I like the idea of the Ibex for a good pop off the wake.

I'm not trying to sell you on a board but I have a 2011 LF Watson classic 142 that I will sell you at a great price. I have several boards. I rode this one literally one weekend. I have had a couple of these (the shape does not change yr to yr on the classic). It is a super easy board to ride great for beginners and advanced riders love it as well. Its cool because with the fins in it has a great edge and huge pop, and with them out you can get the more advanced loose feel riders like. look it up and let me know. I would recommend Ronix bindings to anyone, as far as their boards I have never been a big fan.

The Watson classic is a great board. I have the '11 and now the '12 to go with my Watson Hybrid.

i had an '11 ibex last summer. loved the pop, but you really had to carve hard. the 3 stage on it made it really slow on the water. although i broke it when i took a grab out into the flats, a trick ive done many times on that board. thought it was weird that it broke because i only weigh 150. they sent me a '12 as a replacement though! this year im going back to liquid force
