looking for advice on ballast upgrade for my 2010 SAN 210 byerly icon eddition

Hi all I am wondering if anyone has some advice for me I have been looking into upgrading my factory ballast system to give me some more wake. No one in my family is a pro by any means but its only something that I want to do once. We are going into our second season with the boat and only really use it for wakeboarding / surfing. It is a 2010 SAN 210 byerly eddition and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

i had an 07 last year which is the same hull, i piggybacked 750lb fly highs on top of the stock rear tanks and then i piggybacked a bow vsac under the front seats off the middle tank, worked like a charm, unbelievable surf wake at the push of a button, both sides. You will want to add a piece of 3/4" ply or equivalant on top of the rear tanks or else the extra weight of the sacs will buckle the hard tanks and your gauge sender will bend and get stuck at halfway, lol learned that the hard way.

all you need is 5feet of 1" hose to go from the extra bow vsac to the overflow thru hull port, the existing overflow will go directly in to the bag, as for the rear there is more than enough hose there to cut and install in to lower port on bag and then the remaining to the top port on bag for overflow.

the 400's in the rear and bow vsac are perfect for wakeboarding but for surfing you need that extra rear corner weight so 750's are a must.

We are no way pro just fun loving . I added the 400lb sacs in the rear connected to the stock tanks and pumps nothing additional in the front . We have no problem surfing or boarding even with only two people . Its a 08 210 so it should be the same as yours.

We have a 2010 210 SANTE and just had the piggyback system installed in the rear locker. Made a huge difference to the wake. Get the 750 sac and connect it as an overflow to your ballast tank. It's nice not to have additional pumps/buttons, but control everything from the driver's dashboard.
Not sure if posting the link would work, but this is what I bought. Just used it once, but very happy with the purchase so far:

What does the piggyback system actually come with? Is it worth the $40 or can you get everything you need cheaper elsewhere?

[QUOTE=vanislwake;173883]i piggybacked a bow vsac under the front seats off the middle tank.

How did this work out for you? My dealer told me it would take a ridiculous amount of time to fill. Said it was not worth it. Just curious because I've got my rear 750s piggybacked and love that i do not have to worry about water spilling and getting trapped between the bag and carpet. Right now i pull the silly thing out every time to dry.

As for being able to get everything at the hardware store. I would imagine you can. My dealer got my fittings for me but i spent more the 40 bux on hose. If it come with hose id say thats a deal!

Piggyback comes with 1 sack and all the fittings/connections. You may be able to find the piecemeal parts cheaper elsewhere, not sure. In addition, I would also say the Wakemakers folks are very good at answering questions if you have any, so overall, great experience from my side.

Do you have any pics of your installation? I am looking at the same piggyback system for the port side of my 06 SAN 210 to get a better surf wave. I currently use a sac on the seat and its a pain to deal with. Does the factory tank and the sac drain completely? And I was wondering if the sac would need to be supported in some way.

Not very hard to do. These are pics of the 1/4" tube that people are putting inside the fittings to keep the tanks from imploding due to vacuum.
