Wake surf tricks Do I need a new board?

I surfed the cwb board for a summer and then moved to the Inland surfer sweet spot. I really like this board but cant seem to pull a 360. It hangs up and then i fall. I have tried multiple times and it fights me turning.

I have two fins on the outside right now. I can ollie the board off the wake a bit but it sticks hard. I have been looking at the Inland surfer Contagious and black pearl. Any suggestions?

    I weigh 165

I like more skim less surf for 360, yet my brother is opposite, he likes surf. Are you dragging a hand and whipping your head around to find the boat at 180?

That board can spin, it's just a matter of you finding the technique, I bet you will prefer a skim style board with one small center fin better for spins, but not so much for airs, I ride the inland surfer 4skim moss 4'2" and love it I'm 180lbs

Yes I drag my hand and whip a 180 but the sweet spot can't ride very good backwards. It pearls

You don't "Need" a new board but it may help in getting those first few tricks down. One thing you may try are some different, lower profile fins.

I ride a Phase 5 Danielo Pro Carbon, stopping my spins is a lot harder then starting them. Really fast really loose board, a lot of fun.

called Inland Surfer today and the guy was very helpful. He told me that im putting too much pressure on the back of the board. The sweet spot pearls easy so i tend to ride a bit back on the board. He said the following and I quote " start back in the wake and speed forward then get out in flats and spin and keep focused on the platform of the boat" This seems different because i was cutting the board hard up the wake. Ill try this weekend
