I am looking to purchase a fly high for our newly acquired '98 Nautique and it appears that the factory pylon is larger than the norm. Will I have any issues with the standard Fly High fitting on my pylon. If so, what other options do I have?

I am not sure about a Fly High but on my old skylon there was a pin you could pull out that would lower the rope height by a foot or so. If that were the case on the Fly High then I think that would work for you. If there is only one height setting then it would be too high and the botbwould be really prone to rolling from side to side and washing out the wake when a riders cuts in.
Nice looking boat! I have it's matching big brother.Shawn

The ski nautiques narrow beam will make it more prone to roll over and wash out the wake but the main issue is the tow point will be too high if the extended pylon only has one height setting. I think they are designed to to raise the tow point to about 7 feet above the floor. Since your pylon is about 1.5-2 feet taller than standard that means the tow point will 8.5-9 feet above the floor and cause the boat to roll easier than it would at 7 feet. If the extended pylon you get has a removable pin to lower the height like my old skylon did then you should be all set. Another option is you might be able to work out a deal to trade your pylon to somebody here or on CCF that would rather have the tall version.Shawn
