Have been looking around for a new ski and came across this HO CDX-1 on ebay. Wound up with the winning bid and now it's mine. I was kind of surprised to win the auction but now I have a pretty cool new ski and didn't have to shell out a bunch for it. Ski arrived with original stickers in place so it has not been used. Had it out for my first run of the year and I was a little rusty, but it seems to ride well. Just need to tweak the fin a little. So here's the question - what year is it? Anyone have one and like/dislike it? Was it worth the $300 I paid?

I had the exact ski and loved it. Back in 99' - 2000, that was the ski to have, it was the ski of choice at all the tournys back then. In fact, people had to start putting there names on them because they were getting them mixed up. But I digress, this ski is a little softer than the composite highend skis of today, which is great if your working on just starting to shorten the line (15 - 28 off), or getting up to speed (32 - 36 mph) If your into serious shortline, the newer skis are a little better due to technical and stiffness improvements in the last 5 years. $300 is a very good deal. Have Fun on that thing!1998 Ski Nautique

Gunnin - thanks for the info, and you described my skiing in your post. I stop upping the spped at 34 mph and have gotten into 22 off, so it sounds like the ski will work out well. And it even came with the Wade Cox video you mentioned. Haven't watched it yet but I'll have to give it a look. Should be a fun season with the new ride.
