Anybody ever made something out of wood (old school ) to use behind the boat? I got board (haha) over Christmas break and made a surfboard.
I am just looking for something to ride at the end of the rope, not to load my boat down. May work, or may just become a wall decoration, we'll see in 11 weeks.
Last thing to do is to put a clearcoat on it. I usually polyurethane furniture and other stuff inside, but that isn't for outside. I've done some research and it looks like the West system of epoxy resin from West Marine is my best bet, but that stuff is expensive. So before I invest, anybody have experience with this stuff or something else?
The other question I have is do I need something like grip tape or surfboard wax or something to help give me a little traction? I'd like to leave it like it is if possible. The old guys on longboards had to have ridden bareback, so to speak, so at some level it should work.
Thanks for any insight.
