    Help with women's ski

Looking for opinions of new slamon ski for my wife. She still skis on the slamon half of the combo ski that came with our first boat. Does anyone have any recommendations?

She is 5'4", 125 lbs and skis 26-28 mph, a good recreational skier but not overly agressive. I thought I would get her a ski that is more her own...

    Thanks!

    RE: Help with women

Definately look at the shaped skis on the market. HO has an excellent selection, and I know the other companies offer some good ones. I am typically a "course" skier, but got on a shape ski (HO Charger I believe) last year and had a blast free skiing. And of course, demo if you can.

      RE: Help with women

Wiley's helped me out with a ski for the War Department. I talked to them about her skiing and they made some recommendations. I ended up with a KD Evolution. She loves it.

I too have skied shaped skis and find them surprisingly
fun for free skiing. However, because the women
are so light, they get up so quickly, and the drag
is relatively small once up, I haven't really
seen the need for a shaped ski for smaller women.

My wife is an intermediate level slalom skiier. We bought
her a KD 3000 a couple of years ago.
We went with the HO bindings which she finds more comfortable.
        I believe the ski is a 64". She's about 5'4" and 110 lbs, and
has been very happy with it.

My wife also has a KD 3000 and really enjoys it.

Thanks everyone. I'm working with 'the old guy' at Wiley's to try and narrow it down without spending of ton of money. I have heard about Wiley's before but I must say that I'm very impressed with their knowledge and prices.

Wileys is right next door to HO and they get all of their 2nds which can be tarrific deals. I got a previous year Truth that had only two small cosmetic markes on the edge of the ski. I think I paid $435 with double Animals and a rear toe plate.
