    Surf Board Repair

The rubber matting on the board has let go and needs to be bonded back onto the board. What is a good glue product to use and any "HOW TOs" are welcome.

I think it was rubber cement that I used to put hydroturf traction on the molded in platform of our old Sport Nautique. Coat the board and the bottom of the traction pad and let them tack up for 5-10 minutes. Then press them together and remove any excess that squeezes out. Make sure you have it lined up correctly because once the two tacked up sides meet it will be STUCK. I think you want to let it cure for 12-24 hours before hitting the water.

No problem at all. I was curious and just looked to see what I used and I think it was contact cement, but might be the same as rubber cement. This weldwood stuff is what I used and it worked great. Can probably be found cheaper at Lowes or HD.

            S_Kelley is on point.

I'm a long time standup jetski guy. All standups from your $200 craigslist find to your $35k+ pro freestyle ski use DAP weldwwod on their turf. Walmart, Ace, local hardware store has it. The only thing I would do different is get whatever sand paper you have laying around and scuff up the surface a little before you apply the DAP. Make sure to let it get tacky on both surfaces.
