Brand new to surfing and want to grab a board for an up coming vacation. I have a chance to grab one at a great price, will I be bored after a few days or will it be a good all around board for myself, wife, and maybe our 10 year old. Not too worried about my son. We can do different for him. I'm 210 lbs she is 120 lbs

The blue lake is a pretty good beginner board and most people should be able to get up right away and lighter people should be able to drop the rope the first time or two. Your 10 year old should be able to ride it but will get bored pretty quick, bigger people "can" make it move pretty good. I haven't ridden the black pearl but you are just over the weight range. You could probably ride it well once you know what you are doing but it could be a great second board, maybe get them both?
The black pearl will be a lot easier to store on the boat. Have you surfed at all before? There is a difference between surf and skim style hard to know which one you would like best.
