    Twisted Rope

OK, I have an older non-stretch rope that we use all the time for kids and other slow speed activities. The rope is totally twisted. How do I untwist this rope? Here is what I tried:

    1) Manually un-twisting it as I coil it
    2) Putting the handle over the ski pylon and diving with the rope behind the boat
    3) Saying screw-it and dealing with the twist until is knotted up badly this weekend

The only thing I have not done is taken the drill to the rope and trying to spin the twist out. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Not sure if this was the most effective or intelligent way but just yesterday I got the rope and hung it off the back of the house. The front is one story and the back is 2 stories plus. Dangling the handle down near the ground. Manually untwisted it some on the roof and let it dry out. Maybe a window at work or a taller building you can get access to if the house doesn't work.

Too many tricks on the same side. Stretch it out, I use the pylon on the boat or a trailer hitch and then just untwist it. Make the kids do tricks on both sides and it will stay untwisted. When it won't roll up nice then the twist is returning.

Have two people stand on each end . Stretch it out and spin it. We do this all the time in our yard

Thanks everyone. I'll put the kids to work (which means I'll do most of the untwisting).
