Sea Anchor slalom ski

I want to call myself a skier but am more of a wannabe. No problem getting up on combos but don't have the technique to get up easily and don't have the grip to get up otherwise. AND I am a 6'5" 290lb sea anchor. I have a 75" World Team that worked the summer of 2008 but isn't quite getting me up since. I skied a Big Daddy once and didn't like it at all, felt like I was riding a wakeboard the wrong way. So...thinking a slightly shorter but wider ski. Anybody have experience with this one (or have a better suggestion):
