Opinions on Fly High Pole

Saw a used Fly High Pole for about $200 - thinking about buying for my 1996 SN - we wakeboard exclusively - will upgrade boat at some point but for now interested in opinions on: how well do they work? Any potential damage to boat? Can passengers sit in back seat of boat with this in use? Any other thoughts? I read all the posts I could find but really didnt see much detail. I would be taking this off to store boat on hoist after use. Thanks for the help

I have a "Ten Foot Pole", for my 1997 Ski Nautique. 2571 hours. No problems.
Check the tightness of the three "U" bolts that hold the pylon to the engine frame, and the bolys that hold the front of the engne frame together. Use the strap to the bow eye.
It works fine. No damage to the boat. Used my pole when I was working summer camps, so youth COULD sit in the back seat.
