Is anyone familiar with the Patterson's Side-Saver Barefoot Boom. Patterson's of California manufacturered the boom in the early 90s'. It had a 2 point attachment system, one at the top of the pylon and another at the bottom. This setup supported the boom off of the gunnel. Seemed like a great idea. I've searched for Patterson's on the net but they no longer appear to be in business and I can't find anyone else who has picked up on the idea. They did have a patent on it.
