    HO Triumph factory fin settings

Hey everybody. I need the HO Triumph 69" factory fin settings -- I have messed mine up without making notes of the original. I have the 2005 Triumph with adjustable fin. If somebody has or sells one can you please look at the numbers on the side (1-7) and the distance from the back of the ski (1" or all the way forward in the slot)? THANK YOU

RE: HO Triumph factory fin settings

I have some information on my 71" HO Triumph.

The tail and tip are both set at 5....and the fin is set 1 inch from the back of the ski.

    Hope these images help also.

I'm not sure if I'm violating some kind of forum etiquette asking a slightly different question, if so I apologize in advance.

How do you guys like your Triumphs? I just started skiing last season with our family and had a great time learning on a HO Radius but I think I might like something a little sportier for next season. We mostly free ski but would really like to give the course a try. Is the Charger/Magnum a better choice for someone who doesn't get a chance to ski weekly? Any other skis you'd recommend? I'm 49 years old, 5'11" 210 lbs (or at least I will be soon) and in moderately good shape. Would you recommend a 69" or 71"?

Thanks for the help - Gene

I can't make any recomendations about ski size. But, I am 6'-5" and 250 and I really like my HO Triumph. I had never skied with anything other than a combo ski. So I am very impressed with the aggressiveness and I am very very happy with the double boot. I don't which I am the most happy with, because I got both upgrades at the same time.

Anyway, the one thing that I realized after I got the HO....I really needed some lessons on form and technique. I had developed some bad habits that I am slowly getting out of my riding style. But, it's been a blast, and I am starting to really like slalom skiing again.

            magene,
I used to ski a Rival as well. It was the ski I learned to slalom on (only been doing it for 2 years). I just bought a 71" Triumph this winter but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. If you can wait, I will let you know how it compares to the Rival this spring. For your ski size, it depends how fast you ski but probably you would do fine with a 69". I got the 71" as I am closer to 240. I did a fair amount of research and I think that moving from the Rival to the Charger/Magnum was a one level jump in performance and the Triumph was like jumping up 2 levels.
