Starting to surf more and need a better board. I currently "ride" an old 2004 Hyperlite Landlock and it's just not fast enough for the small wave my '03 210 puts out. Any ideas? I'm 6'1', 160#, new to surfing but not beginner either.

my research led to Fiver
Good for small wave and not too expensive. I've ridden twice and great for jumping and surfing but difficult for 360 (skimming)

I just rode about 9 boards in past 2 weeks. Lots of guys are going to recommend Inland Surfer and smaller custom companies. If you looking for a budget surf that gives you some higher end features I really liked the 2015 Hyperlite Shim. It's super fast, light, durable, nimble and priced right. I am 6ft 180 and loved te 5' 3" behind my boat. I am currently riding an Inland Surfer Full Carbon Swallow and the Shim was pretty dang close to that in performance.
