    Nautique Shock Tubes

Any ideas on locating a Nautique Shock Tube. I have looked for a while now and can't find one. Only generic shock tubes

    RE: Nautique Shock Tubes

I’m having a hard time finding any accessory with the CC name on it. I’m trying to find a spare tire cover and would be interested in a shock tube also.

You should check with Kris at WakeSpecialty.com and ask him about shock tubes. They are one of the few/only companies licensed to distribute gear with the actual Nautique logo on it.

Although not Nautique, these are also available:

Check out White Lake Marine (one of this sites sponsors) There's a link at the top of the page.

I live down in Australia and Carl at White Lake has sent me over a few different things I couldn't get over here. Outstanding service and had everything I wanted in stock and shipped straight away. Worth a look.

        Cheers

I took a trailer guide pole cover to the canvas shop and he sewed a nylon webbing loop on one end. You could use wake specialties guide pole covers.

Sent Kris an email, he replied they will have shock tubes in stock within the next couple of weeks, they are just putting them into production.

When you pull real heavy skiers that cut really hard, their falls can be dangerous for the spotter and the driver b/c the rope stretches a little, and when the skiier falls, theres a lot of power now suddenly released and that causes a dangerous amount of slack of rope in the boat. Someone could get tangeled, or even knocked out from the handle. I've had times where my uncle's fallen and the handle flew right between me the driver and dad the spotter years ago, and the handle got hooked on the bow of the 2001. That was with the shock tube, I'd hesitate to pull a hard skier without one.

AbunDiga is right, last year I got stuck into a deep turn (that I had no business trying to pull out of...) handle recoiled into the boat and fractured a 9 yr old girls forehead. Since then, we have used the shock tube.... Even if they rarely help, I would rather it be on there to take any precaution possible.

I agree with the shock tube. My cousin took out their SN mirror with the handle.....and another cousin took a chunk of fiberglass out of the back of their 84 SN.......1 week after they had the gelcoat re-done.

Depending on the type of skiing, throw away the cheap ropes and buy non-stretch/jacketed lines. I absolutely will not foil without it.
1976 Ski Nautique.....old but it\'s still going strong

Kinda shifting topics a little... but along with Shock Tubes, I am also looking for Trailer Guides.. I saw them on WakeSpecialties... but I don't know the Dia. or lenght of my trailer guides. My boat/Trailer is in storage (I can't get to it)... does anyone have a Trailmaster tandem trailer (2005) and now or can measure the guides??? Air211 maybe? Etc. If not, I can probably call Wawasee Boat Co. and ask them (or if Dave see this, he can give me a call! Hint Hint!)

Thanks everyone... great site with great conversations as usual!!!!!
