Phase5 Model X

I picked up a Phase 5 Model X before boating season last year. Rode the P5 Model X all Summer with two fins and love the board. On Monday we removed the outer fins and rode it with the middle fin only. I was thinking it would be real slippery and tough to carve. I was totally wrong. I absolutely love it with a single fin. Those other fins will never go back in the board.

I just wanted to share this experience and encourage others to modify their boards as you just might like it.

I just ordered a Phase 5 Model X on Monday. Got the 53 since the smaller kids will be using it also. What size do you have? I'll have to experiment with the fins. Thanks for the tip.

We have the 53. I'm 175lbs but the other guys ride it that are 205 or so. Great board, you'll love it.
