I have had two and love them. The first one went to the bottom of the lake bc the floaty backdoor isn't strong enough to float the suction cup mount. Makes sense but I never really thought about it before it sunk.

On editing software, use iMovie or Final Cut. They are both awesome, depending on your skill level and desired results.

I haven't gotten up enough nerve to use my suction cup mounts on my boat yet just for that reason. I would love to and have thought about even sticking it on the board too but am too afraid of losing it. Did you make some sort of leash or tether for it so if the suction cup comes loose again you don't lose it?

We use a teather rope when we use our suction cup. Just loop it to the lift rings or anywhere you can. If it comes unstuck ( has not happened ) the rope or string teather will save it.

Yeah, I tether mine now. Either using a separate sticky mount or to a cleat or anything else. Safety first now

Ouch. Good call. I've always assumed that the floatie would keep it up. I've never had a suction cup pop off but I will feather now!

I put one on my air chair with the suction cup and it held nicely, even when doing inverts. When I crashed, the camera angle went crooked, but it never came off the board. We also attached several keychain floaties to it to be sure it would float. So make sure you do put some sort of floatation on it. The shots are really cool.
