Buying a new wakeboard for my 8 Year old

Hey everyone,

My 8 year old son has been riding a wakeboard for just over 12 months now and is starting to progress really well.

He currently rides a Hyperlite Motive 109cm but it does seem a little small for him now.

I have been looking at other boards for him and he likes the Ronix vision 120cm or the Slingshot Super grom 125cm.

Has anyone had any experience with these boards? What boards do your kids ride?

He only rides boat and concerned the Slingshot may be more of a cable board.

My 9 year old son rides the Ronix Vision. He loves it. I feel its the perfect size for him.

Of the two boards you identify you should go with the Vision for a boat board, the super grom is definitely a cable board.

Cheers guys, think I will get him the vision. SJ30 my sons friend has the Ronix sonic surf and my son has been out on it. Great for the kids to get some surf action! Great video

If it still matters I just got my kids a Liquid Force Fury 120. My oldest will be 7 at the end of September and it seems perfect for him
