    Kids wakesurf board

My 6&7 year old boys have been wakeboarding for a few years. This year they are pumped to start wakesurfing. I am leaning towards a phase 5 scamp but want some feedback from others about the best boards for kids.

The scamp is great and works well for ages 4+. I would probably suggest the hyperlite gromcast for 8+ due to how much buoyancy it has. Good luck!

Thanks for raising this thread, I had the same question and look forward to hearing others opinions.

FYI my boat guy who has great experience with teaching kids highly recommends the Ronix Super Sonic Odyssey.

Thanks. Both of my boys are still under 50 lbs so they are small for their age. I just want something that is a manageable size for them.

Inland Ooze is what my kids started on and still use. My wife rides it also. That is if your looking for a skimmer.. You can add the side fins for a little better control.

My son started on the Hyperlite gromcast when he was 10 yrs old. He's not a big kid and still likes to ride it.

Here's a video of my 5 year old daughter learning to surf on a Phase 5 Scamp. Perfect board for kids. https://youtu.be/a3wkoStMiJU

second the vote for really young kids on the Scamp - it's kid approved!

Awesome video and pics. I just purchased the scamp last week. Are you putting in all the fins on your scamp when your kids are surfing? Also, more videos or tips on how to teach/show kids would be appreciated.

Yeah I did put in all fins thinking it would help them track but not sure if that's the right answer . Other than that on the gear front we found that shortening the rope so they do t swing too wide seemed to help. The scamp is nice because it has those logos where feet should go so that is easy for them to remember

with regards to people at first we kept someone in the water same as the video - main help was to get the board going flat (help kiddo with heels pushing down) and then a quick boost up with other hand.

I have a 210 and ran half ballast because I do want them to have some back there but nothing crazy

We went with the scamp. The boys can't wait to get out there
