Very cool, thanks for posting, what features or shape of your version do you attribute its superiority over the Mission version? I like the idea of the adjustable angle, where do you set it on your boat?

I started with the Mission and really did like it the first time I tried it but then I put it on my boat and it all went wrong. It fell off many times and made a nasty wave. I then went back to my office/ machine shop and really started looking at what could be upgraded. First thing was the not so aerodynamic design of the Mission. Everyone wants to have a waxed boat and this design just doesn't work with a waxed gel coat. I decided to get the body as close to the boat as possible with a ramped front edge. It's as simple a downforce. Next adjustability was a must since no matter where I put the delta on my boat the wave never got great push. Also the strain on the motor and steering went to crap. I do still use my delta but it only seems to work well on some boats. The way I found my design works best is 2" under water line and I run it at around 35-45 degrees on angle. It seems to be the sweet spot for wave height, steering, stress on motor. With this design I am able to leave it on and come to plain with no problem or it releasing.

I went a little crazy on the materials just cause it's what I had laying around my shop. All plastic is delrin but this could be anything from boatboard to your wife's cutting board (uhmw). Base is 3/4" thick and 7x13. I guess what I would call the paddle or fin starts out as a 9"Lx8"w but tapers down to meet the 7"w body. I milled the cup holes right into the bottom so that the body only sits 1/8" off the boat when applied.
