I have mixed experience. One day we loved it, another it was terrible. Which to me says it was the wave. Anyway, I like the cork top, it was light. The board is a little flat, found it easy to bury the nose. It was not a very fast board, but it was very maneuverable for us. We didn't spend too much time on it since we have a 04 210 and we have a tough time getting the wave good consistently. For me, 5'11-180ish, a 4'8 ronix thruster/blendr are the fastest boards I tried, but we also like the buzz, although far less fast. I didn't try and more expensive boards since I don't need to know if I like them
It really depends on the wave, your size and what type of surfing you are doing. I have a friend who swears by it, but he's smaller, likes a mellow ride. I didn't like it very much, but i'm a much more agressive rider, and want something more maneuverable and faster. I've tried 7 boards in the last month and finally dialed in on the one for me. And I have a feeling I'll try 10 more next year and like something else, or end up with 5 boards haha.
Like the others have said, it depends on the wave. From what I have found is that on a longer shorter wave, it works great on but the shorter taller wave doesn't work as well. All depends on the boat. Last season I was using a 2011 200 Sport and it was great. This year it has been a GS20 and the wave is a lot taller so doesn't work as well. Actually I thought about selling it if you're interested in a used one?
